Pretty good day on new ice

The kid, myself and my nephew hit first ice on a local lake today. About 4” of solid clear hard water. Did pretty well with some good panfish and of course, I’d be remiss if I didn’t include the obligatory pic of a snot rocket for fly’s viewing pleasure.

Thank you Grizz, we actually released everything today, kinda broke my heart. The boys were getting on my butt a bit about catch and eat, guess they simply don’t enjoy them as much as I do.

Might want to leave them home every once in awhile. LOL

That I do Gordon but when the freezer is getting low I get a bit concerned. I’ve NEVER wasted a single fish or piece of venison.
