Finding someone just to listen can often be a hard thing for somebody who is sad or lonely or hurting. So just offer, it doesn’t cost much and can make a world of difference to somebody in need.

Good morning, Wulffy. I can handle that, no problem. Thanks, and have a good day.
That cat has a funny name! I have never heard of him before.
That is a good one Wulffy! Quite often it requires no response, just allow people to vent or find a way to release what is bothering them. Letting it out sometimes is all they need. Have a great day!

I think mostly it’s just a question of how much of yourself you are willing to give someone else. Compassion, to me, is just helping somebody walk their walk.

Another good one Wulffy and I do agree, because one never learns by hearing themselves talk.
