We get our water from a well and it's frozen solid after in got down to eight degrees last night. We have pipe heat coils on the pipes inside the well house but it's still frozen up.

Not good Pb. Hopefully it’ll warm up some today and get you unthawed

Yikes, that's not good. Sorry to hear. Can't think of anything to remedy.

Pb if possible put the highest wattage light bulb in there too and make sure all drafts are close off.

Wow, that is not a good way to start Christmas Eve.
If it’s open enough to access, I second Plum’s advice and would even recommend a heat lamp. Cover the opening with a tarp and plywood if possible.
I hope you get water flowing soon.

Good addition there Jer. Usually its the wind that freezes the pipes.

However Usually is not always right. Cold is cold.

A small halogen shop light puts off a lot of heat! You might try that - I’ve used one before with good success.

Another good idea, Randy.
I hope one of these is available and proves successful.

Pb might just have to get down in there with a hair dryer. Hope the power is off to the pump, if it pops going to make one heck of a mess.

Plus that pump may be running and can only build up so much pressure.

Very true. Don’t want to take that shower.

Borrow your wife’s heating pad. I’m assuming she has one like my wife does. Wrap it and plug it in and let it do it’s thing.

I hope your water line has thawed by now with this warmer weather today. I am no electrician or plumber, but I have heard of people attaching welding leads from a welder to the waterline and letting electricity thaw the line. Again, I have not witnessed this, but kinda makes sense. Hopefully it is thawed by now.

If we think that "big brother" (probably Google's algorithm..??) isn't paying attention to what we write on here....lose that thought...."THEY" ARE !!
An ad appeared in my feed after about 4 or 5 posts on this thread.... for SHARK BITE...a remedy for fixing frozen/broken pipes !
Here's to hoping you can thaw out and y'all don't need such a product !
Good luck !
