Hey everyone. I'm hoping to get any good info on winter steelhead in 3 rivers ai Hebo. Baits or lures, places to cast, or even plunking spots on the nesstucca near the mouth. I don't have a boat so I prefer to fish smaller river like this one. Also maybe some spots and gear info for the salmon river along hwy 18. Thanks everyone, tight lines to all!

There is a good hole at the Salmon River hatchery if they will still allow you to use the trail. Otherwise you have to cross the highway where you can get into some real combat fishing. But that was in the fall. Probably not much action now. But they had some really weird tackles regs last time I was there. Be sure to read up on that.

Pic is of a Chinook many years ago. Came out of a nice hole located away below the old restaurant that burned down, as I recall.

I would suggest just going to the Hebo boat access and casting from there. The little Nesrucca runs right into the three Rivers at the boat access and is a great little spot.

It is the main fork of the Nestucca that Three rivers runs into at Hebo. It is the best hole on the river though. The river might be too high right now because of all the rain. Three rivers might be fishable but the water is shallow. There are a couple of spots to fish on HWY 22 just as you get to Hebo if you are going north.
