Hello fish family,so today I met Matt over a River Front Park, nicer weather today,45*,neither of us were expecting to much action,we hit our first spot with not so much as a bite, then we moved on to the back of the lake, along the way I stopped at a tiny spot I’ve had luck with before, landed this bass, once in my hand it felt like a frozen fish stick, barely even moved, then nothing after that,so for me it was one bite and one fish,Matt didn’t have any luck, but we both gave it a shot, today will most likely be our last outing till maybe February/March we may get out one more time but not likely,Mother Nature has won this time,I hope if y’all throwing a line in you have better luck than we did,Merry Christmas and a safe New Year’s to everyone 🎣

I was told yesterday that I need a slow retrieve. When I think it's slow enough, slow it down more! Gonna be good fishing but tight catching. Good bass!

Thanks Rhyno. I need to get out more. For some trout. It's for sure that time of the year. Enjoy the Holidays!

I have heard the same,if Matt retrieves any slower he won’t be moving, they also say that in colder weather, the fish are in the deep,in the middle of the lake, because of somewhat warmer waters, but yet the past two fish I have caught at RFP were no more than 12’ from the bank in the Lilly’s edge, figure the fish out and you’ll most likely figure out women🤷‍♂️

Glad you scored one anyway Ryan. It's been a month since I've seen a live fish. I might have to hit BPS just to look in the tank. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to you as well!

Funny you say that Fred, this morning Matt and I saw a floating fish, brought it closer to the banks, and to our surprise it was a dead catfish, for as long as Matt and I have finished at Riverfront. We had no idea there were catfish in there, so now we know.

There you go, throw some stink bait on the bottom and see what happens.
