It looks and sounds like a big snow with 50MPH winds is heading our way here in the midwest. Snow and high winds, they call that a blizzard. We'll see since a lot can change between now and Thursday.

After 24 hours the incoming snow for Chicago area starting Thursday afternoon has been scaled way back. This evening they're talking 3-4". I was kind of looking forward to the snow as work ends at 3:00 thursday until January 10. The wind prediction however has gone up. 45-60 mph wind. -30 wind chill on Friday. I think we're going Christmas grocery shopping tomorrow after work and staying in until after Christmas. Family is coming here. My daughter is planning on driving to northern Wisconsin Friday. I'm not crazy about that.

10 degrees in mill creek Wa this morning, high of 24. more snow tonight. then freezing rain tomorropw. after that rain and 49-50 degrees. we were going to town yesterday. first time since the snow and freezing weather came. removed snow off the truck but all the doors wre frozen shut. ending up taking the car. the roads had some icy areas but not too bad.
