I agree, we don't buy each other gifts either not much we want or need and am trying to get rid of stuff not collect more stuff. we just buy gifts for the grandkids now. even when we use to buy gifts for each other I was not very good at it and most of the time I'm sure she thought "well it is the thought that counts" so no we skip the gift and just give the thought.

I'm with you Frank. It's worked for us for SEVERAL years now.
Just too practical I guess. WHY get something for somebody that they will NEVER use it.
I've done that too many times. No more. Everybody's happier.
