My name's Rodney, I'm looking for info on sturgeon fishing around Sacramento CA. I'm new to this forum so please forgive me if not totally correct. Just trying to figure out if there here yet or not. Trying to wait for the new year to get license but if there here I'll go purchase one know

The sturgeon are stacking up thick in the lower Sacramento/ San Jacquin rivers and Suisun bay. Should be moving up your way soon. There have been good reports of private boats doing well in these areas. Heading that way tomorrow but are gonna concentrate on the stripers. If I hear anything I will post it. Good luck👍

Well glad you’re back to home sweet home. Just looked up the new fishing license regs. U are right, year round licenses take effect 1-1-2023. Where u able to alter your plans for Monday and Tuesday? Have a cold one and relax!
