When ethanol is in fuel it attracts and collects water..when the water decides to separate in winter....water freezes so now visualize a main jet in a small engine with a chunk of ice in the base of the carb.

oh yeah. It is possible but quite dangerous. There is a set up can buy online. It's a 5 or 6 gallon water bottle etc. Could do it for small engines but still a bunch to do and with flammable stuff. I would just go get the fuel locally. I am sure some crazy guy does it for his 460cid big block ford though....not this guy.

Well guys, I've been needin to get up to Tahoe but all the snow wouldn't let us. I didn't wanna get up there and get snowed in either.
Suppose to be clear through the rest of this week so we're headed up tomorrow and comin back on Saturday.
The next door neighbor up there said that there's bout 4 feet of snow in our drive.
Probly take me a couple hours to get it and the walkway shoveled/snowblown.
NOT lookin forward to that job tomorrow. The MAIN reason I don't live up there during the winter anymore.
Hopefully I'll get er done and not too much the worse for wear.
I'll try to post some pics of all the fun I'll be havin tomorrow.
All that after a 4+ hour drive to get up there.

Still... been thinking I need to break my rut. Is there is a place to put your boat? Charge the batts? If so I'll get a room. Do you have the phone number please?

Yeah there are two nice parking spaces that accommodate boat and rig parking. They are right next to room # 8. That is the room that I always request. We normally bring an extra trolling battery and charge it in the room. If you have an onboard charging system on your boat we can easily run a cord from the room to your boat. If it works out and u would like to get a room I will call and request rooms # 8 and #7. I don’t think that it will be a problem booking those two rooms this close to the holidays. Sorry but I don’t have their phone number. Look them up online. Rio Sands lodge, Rio Vista Ca. Hope this helps. p.s it’s not the Hilton, but the rooms are nice and clean.

Just spoke the the folks at Rio Vista bait and tackle told that a lot of nice sized stripers are being caught in the upper sloughs bait fishing with live mud suckers. Had great success doing that in the past. He said that every customer today that has been in is buying them. (Still $4 a pop) he said that he hasn’t heard of anyone trolling or working artificials.and catching. He said that the main river is running high and full of debris and sea grass. Most likely why the sloughs would be one’s best option.
What do you think guys? I was looking forward to working the artificials!

If they are biting on the Mud Suckers then that is what I would use.

Yes, if you don't mind, please reserve me a room (#7?) for the one night in between the two days of fishing. I'll be sure to bring an extension cord. Thank you. If you need anything from me 5306327680 or skaiser41657@gmail.com.
