Saw 1 I'm with you on that one. We don't take any deer or elk around the home area. We load up the horses
and camping gear and head down to the Clearwater area for our hunting. Besides, we feed the elk when the snow drives them off the mountains. Sometimes as many as 20 to 30 come around and try to compete with the horses
for hay. By the end of winter I can get as close as 30' to them but, they get kind of skitterish if I get any closer
even when throwing them a flake or two. Couple years back the F&G even sponsered us to a whole pickup full of bails. That's one reason I like it here in the North West. The furry neighbors just drop in for a snack almost any
time of the day. Cell doesn't have a chip that fits the computer, so sorry about the pictures.

Wow Crunchy. Sounds really nice. A buddy of mine lives in Riggins and has a bunch of elk that winter down on his place. Really something to see a herd so close.

Here are my first deer, a blacktail from west of the cascades in Washington, inside my last deer, a mule deer probably from the same herd in Utah.
Wow! They didn't get to be studs by being stupid. Last year I got to see a typical bugs bunny scene on the Spanish Fort causeway. The NO HUNTING sign next to the road and thousands of gadwall, teal, redhead and other ducks ganged up around it on opening day.
