Unfortunately I have to report that we caught zero fish today on our last trip. Lake wasn’t rough at all it was 36 at launch and water seemed to be around 40. We marked tons and tried every color we had but could not get any to eat. My buddy did give me a nice bag of fillets in exchange for doing a European mount on his 8 pt buck when we returned home. Can’t wait for the spring as I just got a bunch of acme jig types for the spring bite. Well got the skunk but hot to spend the day w friends and that’s what really matters and we made it back safely.

I had a very similar experience my last time out a couple weeks ago and so did the other 20 boats out there. Marked a crazy amount of fish. Through everything but the kitchen sink at them and not a bite. Glad you made it home safe!! Time on the water is always time well spent!!

Can't catch them all the time, but you had fun that is what counts
My last trip out of Huron last month netted one fish. Found out I was trolling a little too fast. Need to go around 1.0-1.3 tops in this cold water.

Great info! I was trolling to fast as well my last time out. Makes sense. Thanks!
