My granddaughter and I went fishing earlier today. The area we bank fish we always bring our dog Bella. She loves to run and swim in the water. Our usual place we fish requires walking in water for a quarter mile because of the high tides this time of the year and Bella doesn’t have a problem with that. By the time we get there she’s tired and she won’t disturb the water while we fish. We call her our good luck charm. We’ll my granddaughter doesn’t have any waders so we decided to fish another area where we could drive right up and start fishing. We left Bella at the house because we didn’t want her to start swimming in the water we fished. We caught Redfish, Trout, and Drum. Only not a one of them were legal. My granddaughter kept telling me we should have brought our good luck charm Bella. She said if we brought her every one of those small fish would have been grown and been legal. I couldn’t agree with her more. We had an awesome time today. A lot of laughs today😎👍

Maybe no legal fish, but you’re still making memories.
Thanks for the photos.

May I borrow your granddaughter to come down here and teach my bride how to hold fish? Wife says its cause I'm a gentleman that I take her fish off. Mostly I like taking her out enough to not worry about her just bein fussy about fish juice.
It's all good.
Great pictures you sent. Her smile is genuine.

Tablerock, I’ve been out fishing with other guys for speckled trout. I guess all saltwater trout are slimy. Anyway whoever catches the first trout, we feel it’s good luck to let him slime our hands. When I caught that trout this morning, I asked my granddaughter to give me her hand so I could slime her for good luck. Heck, you can’t expect them to learn any other way 😎👍

OK then.
When I take my wife fishin,
She surely enjoys it.
But she hasn't been goin of late.
She throws where I tell her,
Says I'm a good feller,
Even tho I won't use live bait.

She'll fish for a while, then give me a smile,
And lay down her small rod n reel.
I fish cause I'm dutiful,
She says "nature's beautiful",
Then catches a perch with a squeal.

No matter how many times we've wet a line,
I won't make her take off her fish.
A very small task,
She won't have to ask,
Then maybe she'll go more, I wish.

So it works. I kiss the first fish and let it go.....unless its a keeper then I may kiss it anyway.
