Never heard of Bitter Sweet. Eastern berry? Eat them?

Not edible, very invasive!! Don’t burn the plants, the smoke will inflame your lungs for a couple of weeks. Most effective removal…goats.

Our Christmas reef has no berries left on it by New Years. Birds come on the porch and eat them up.

Nice lead finds. I loved using the metal detector in Maine, but here on the North West Coast, the country doesn't even know the meaning of old as far as metal relics. Everything that is old here is made of stone. Even stone stuff is hard to find as the overburden from the old growth trees that grew right up to the beaches puts everything pretty deep. Most of my finds with the detector are logging tools. It just doesn't get me excited like a round ball, cannon ball or British uniform button. I loved the lure of pre mid 1800's coins back East. Enjoy. I hope you find the motherload.

I would so much like to find a 1652 OAK/PINE or WILLOW TREE Shilling as I hunt areas they have been found in,large farm fields that have been used since 1654.

I live in this town.

Carp fishing is on hold till next May,no more fish pics, you'll have to settle for these. Metal detecting has limited time too, temps are on the down swing, man I DO NOT LIKE the COLD!Here's the stuff from the last two hunts

down the meadows, musket balls,69 cal.mini ball,AND,a 1918 merc.,I just love finding silver, the morning of the last hunt, what a sky, color quickly faded away.Walking back thru the woods I found my first antler shed, area being so wet I'd say is why it has never been mice chawed.

Last full moon added nicely to these shots,so did the hawk.

Bitter Sweet is so beautiful after a frost.

These wrens having been hanging around for generations.

This is my little friend half ear,he was two this year.

I see this guy surveying half ears domain today,he just not make it till 3.

This was darky,he never made it past 2.

Those are cool.

When I worked at a national park in Colorado we would hear the screech of a Golden Eagle, then watch as they enjoyed their prize. They showed the same traits, hooding the prey.

A parent Bald Eagle bring prey to it's young.

I believe it is something innate in all raptors.

GODS creations amaze me!
