A pink mouse tail is a bait from Berkeley tackle. It can be fished just like their power bait or power nuggets. It can also be slow trolled , retrieved, or jigged. I usually fish it in combination with a power nugget. Great trout bait!

I do the same thing helps them float better

I guess its not worth bringing the boat. Might try a little shore fishing soon heading to the delta on Sunday for 4 days of striper fishing. Maybe the following week. If my kids donโ€™t talk me into heading to the slopes.

Plenty of water for your boat just the lake isn't as big as it normally is

ranger, l never tried power nuggets don't usually fish for trout, except with worms. Anyway, I need some flotation for some plastic bugs I'm going to try next spring. So, are power nuggets a floating bait ? Or, just have like neutral buoyancy? T I A nutz

Like " Still Above Water " said yes they float but might be to big for what you want. Maybe a small piece of foam would be better.
