A pink mouse tail is a bait from Berkeley tackle. It can be fished just like their power bait or power nuggets. It can also be slow trolled , retrieved, or jigged. I usually fish it in combination with a power nugget. Great trout bait!
I do the same thing helps them float better

I guess its not worth bringing the boat. Might try a little shore fishing soon heading to the delta on Sunday for 4 days of striper fishing. Maybe the following week. If my kids don’t talk me into heading to the slopes.

Plenty of water for your boat just the lake isn't as big as it normally is

ranger, l never tried power nuggets don't usually fish for trout, except with worms. Anyway, I need some flotation for some plastic bugs I'm going to try next spring. So, are power nuggets a floating bait ? Or, just have like neutral buoyancy? T I A nutz

Like " Still Above Water " said yes they float but might be to big for what you want. Maybe a small piece of foam would be better.
