Well guys, we got out to the launch right bout 0700, sunrise. Was in the mid 30s. Got launched and headed to the crabbin grounds by 0720. Started fishin bout 0730. Brads son and his friend were in their boat bout 50 yards from us and they never moved all morning. They just used hoop nets and snares.
Brad and I used 3 cone traps I hoop net and 3 snares. Worked our butt off.
Daniel and his friend were right on top of a honey hole. They probly caught close to 40 KEEPER crabs and culled until they had 20 BIG crabs for the day.
Brad and I probly caught close to 25 keeper crabs but we culled the smaller ones and just kept 17 Dungies and 1 big rock crab. I'd rather throw the ones back that are just barely legal. Just not worth it if the Game Warden says they are too small.
I took some pics of the area we were launchin and fishin from. Then I took some of the 18 crabs we kept, cooked and cleaned. I kept 5 and let Brad have all the rest.
We were only on the water bout 3 hours.
There wasn't a cloud in the sky and it warmed up really quickly after sunrise. No wind either and the water was flat. Just a beautiful Bluebird Day, great crabbin and good friends. Couldn't ask for anything more. Thank You Lord.

Nice catch Saw. I assume the dark one is the rock crab! Don't gave them over here. Nice pics also. Thanks for sharing. Gordon

Well, we always say, "Go BIG or go home."
I'm kinda balls to the wall type of guy bout fishin. It's kinda hard for me to just sit and bait fish. I'm a fish HUNTER. If the fish aren't bitin where I'm fishin, I'll go hunt em up till I find some that wanna play.
HOWEVER, rule #1, "Never leave fish to find fish."
