Best bets for weekend fishing
2 Trout fishing on Green Peter Reservoir this time of year can be slow, but rewarding to
anglers who like to have the lake and it’s panoramic views practically to themselves.
3 The coho run in the North Santiam is starting to wind down. But there are still fish
around and water levels should be back in shape this week.
4 Road access to Breitenbush River has been restored, and this could be a good fall/winter
destination for trout anglers targeting resident fish.
5 Walter Wirth Lake was stocked this week with 100 brood trout

Are you sure Breitenbush road is open? I saw that it said it was open last year and tried to go through there to get to Harriet lake and found it was still closed.

One of my best fishing trips was because of a bad weather prediction. There were supposed to be 25 miles an hour winds and 45 miles an hour gusts and rain. My buddy hadn't been fishing in a month because of medical reasons so he said he was going so I decided to go too. It turned out that there was no wind, it only sprinkled for about 15 min. and I hooked a Chinook that was huge. When I got it up ready to be netted I felt it tear the hook right through its jaws. Then I hooked another one and got it up to shore and it took off again and broke my 3 o' jig hook. The third one was I was able to land and it was 34 lb. There was only one guy on the river that morning. People started showing up later after they discovered the weather report was wrong.
You started with two what was the number one spot
