Welcome to the Forum, Mnreaper. I'm not a crappie fisherman, but a lot of members on here are, they should be along soon.

The best time is when can go, not meant to be a S/A answer. This time of year they’re deep. Target creek channels, if you can locate structure that’s a plus. It’s a deep lake with several channels. I’d set shallow and work deep to find them. They should be schooling as the water gets colder close to structure. Bring some and jigs also, never know what they prefer. Most of the cuts have structure placed in them. I only single pole so that’s all I can give advise on. If you have livescope or one of the other versions that will help locating. Locate bait fish and more than likely you’ll ding crappie. Hope that helps
