Salt Lake area waters are closing out with ice at higher altitudes. Fall has been great for Rainbows, Cutthroats and Kokanee. Ice fishing is just not my thing.........There is always Southern Utah, and Spring next year!!

I'm hoping that I will be able to go next spring myself. I was too busy to get out this year. Also hope we get a lot of moisture this winter.
I'm pretty much with you, Eduardo. I used to ice fish a lot, but lately it's too cold. If you're headed south, try Calf Creek. It's amazingly beautiful and the browns in that stream are super fun to catch. Take a fly rod, but a mepps will work really well, too.
Never heard of calif creek utah .Where is it?
Half way between nothing and nowhere. Well, Boulder and Escalante. It's a really beautiful canyon with a 3-mile hike along the river to a magnificent waterfall. Google it. "Lower Calf Creek Falls".
