Got some nice bucks bagged and my Granddaughter bagged her first one! Weather was chilly and brisk, but we all had good time.

Nice NE. That first muley has a rack like a whitetail.

Why is she the only one smiling? Are the rest of you hung over? Thanks for sharing, Ne.

Have you ever seen some of the deer out of Canada GW. Some of them are huge. Also saw some from VA/ WVa some parts of MD. Many yrs ago there was some very large whitetail near by. Too much development now. 👍😒

Never have Grizz. I used to see a few large whitetails in the riverbottoms in Montana but for the most part at least in body size they seem quite a bit smaller over all. Most of the whitetails I’ve seen ave been in Texas and Oklahoma.

They do have some tiny bodies in the South and SE, but we get some pretty good ones above the Mason-Dixon Line. I know of a Father-Son duo in VT who only go for body size, not rack size and doubled up on a pair that totaled 600#. Dad’s was 315 and the Son’s weighed 285.
The one pictured was just bagged (with a bow) the other day about 40 miles from me. They can grow pretty big in farm country! Haven’t heard the green score nor weight on this dude yet!

Most of the deer around here are about the size of a German shepherd dog.
