Old Lures Never Die

So I have collected a fair amount and variety of lures over the years and have some of them hung on my wall of the utility room in my basement. Occasionally I'll grab one for use somewhere. Years ago I was buying some books at a garage sale when my attention was distracted to a boat bookcase. The owner approached me and said "If you by those books I'll throw in the bookcase". I may be dumb but............. The bookcase had served me well over the years storing all of my next reads and since I read every night before signing off there is a constant rotation of material coming and going. When the wife decided to repaint and redecorate the bedroom, suddenly the wall mounted boat bookcase on my side of the bed was not in the grand scheme of things. I moved it downstairs not 20 ft. away from my utility room. It didn't take long before the light went on. Books went to a conventional style bookcase. The rest is history as they say. And to borrow a line from Jaws "Your gonna need a bigger boat".
I may become a boat builder again.

If I wanted to display reels and lures, old or new, I can't imagine a better way to display them. Btw, I'm not sure a bigger boat would have helped in "Jaws" but in your case, it may be totally necessary.

I've posted this before but in case some folks haven't seen it. It's near one of my many fishing spots. "Has anyone seen the mailman lately?"

Thank you for posting. You know, it makes me happy and smile when I see a picture of a collection of lures like that! Not sure why, maybe just from recognizing some of the lures that I have used.
