Smarties are little tart candies, a package is a small handful. They're pretty good actually.

I remember "Sweetarts", came in a gold foil pouch/package. Don't see them much, but then I don't frequent the candy aisle like I did 60+ years ago.
Give me some dark chocolate like Lindt truffles and I look no further.
As a child, I certainly had an "M&M addiction". "Mrs. Young's", the neighborhood little grocery shop, sold a small bag for 25¢ or 6 for a quarter.....my allowance was 25¢ a week back then. I could buy enough to share with friends and still be able to stash a bag or two for later... life was so good !
