Maximizing every day before freezing over, I decided to fish again after having a fun day yesterday. Typical fishing, as all the areas that held fish yesterday were void of life. But moved around and found good largemouth & smallmouth, catching approx 20 total. Every fish today came on the drop shot in about 20 ft of water.
Almost every fish was as a result of finding them on the live sonar. For me, it’s been really useful in my success. Air temp was 33, but water dropped to 49-50. Nothing huge, but all 2-3 lb fish. Also caught a few pike which are just fun… coloring and markings are beautiful. All fish released to fight again.

Nice catching JB, you're starting to look cold out there. Be careful with the hypothermia please.

The pictures even look cold. Love the pic of the pike, I think they are a very cool looking fish, of course none out here.

Brad, I have never seen a nice Northern, I have, however, seen a lot of slime dogs.

Thank you and all the rest who take the time to read & respond. I actually am a bit embarrassed to post as I feel it’s like bragging. That’s just not me. I just post for others to merely enjoy in between getting on the water. And to be honest, although I target bass, I enjoy catching anything and everything. Case in point: on Sunday I was eating lunch, and decided heck, I think the whitefish are swimming upstream in the Flathead River. I grabbed 1 rod, and 3 lures and drove to a nearby bridge. Looked down and saw lots of whitefish holding in the pools. I hooked approx a dozen fish in about 45 minutes. Super fun until I lost all 3 lures while attempting to hand line them up to the bridge (heavy) and broke off. Just fun

Nice northern. I caught a few northern Wisconsin lakes as a younger man on red and white daredevils.
Beautiful back drop in the first pic but you do look cold. That northern looks more than 2 to 3 lbs unless you were referring to the bass.

Yeah, bass were all 2-3 (one nice 4 lb largemouth in the mix). Pike about 10 lbs
