Targeted walleyes today with no success, hit all of the usual spots that Blaine does at this time of year but caught only snot rockets dragging crawler harnesses so switched to panfish mode swimming jigs. Caught quite a few but most were subpar. Ended up keeping 3 crappies between 11-12 and 2 perch about the same size. Absolutely beautiful day minus the eyes.

Sorry you didn’t get into the eyes Brad but you did catch some fish so all in all I’d call it a good day

Looks like a beautiful lake to fish. Were you fishing deep? Oh, and nice shack.

Four, we fished shallow, mid and deep, covered all the bases to no avail.

At least NO Skunk Brad. That's a beautiful lake, and a nice looking day as well. Those darn shacks are popping up around the lakes here too. There goes the neighborhood.

Great looking day!. Eyes can be tough on glass smooth water like that. It allows a lot of light to penetrate deep and the eyes will turn off. Crappies and perch were a great runner up though!

Gmorn Brad. Missed your post yesterday. Y'all did well brother. I'd just like to get out. Those shacks would do in a pinch 🤔. Get out while you can. Weather down here isn't going to be the best for awhile. Have a good weekend 👍

It appears it was a beautiful day and you were not skunked. So I say it was a great day.

That would be a Chain Pickerel Bapa.

Thanks. I have heard lots of names for pickerel, but that is a first for me. Is it also used for pike? I have heard slime dog for pike.

Slime Dog is the most common around here for Pike. I believe that Snot Rocket and Hammer Handle refer to the long skinny shape of most Pickerel.
