Welcome aboard Jerry. What kind of fish do you target up there. Good place for Stripers.
Yes it’s a good place for strippers as well as puppy drum

Edit your post by taking one of the P,s off your stripers. These guys will rag you. Just for fun, but they are cruel sometimes.
Okay thanks for letting me know I’ll pay more attention to my typing
Striper is my correct spelling just got a new iPhone and it has a mind of its own pretty much

Welcome to the Stage, Jerry! I'm just up the road from you in Burke. Great bass and snakehead fishing down your way on the Occoquan and esp. further south on Aquia Creek. Where on the Bay do you launch from? Most of my fishing is freshwater but get out on the Eastern Shore a few times a year.
I’m getting ready to retire and buy a nice size boat so that I could fish on my own instead of charter or head boats. Most of the time I go out with my cousin down in Newport News and fish on his boat on the bay or the Elizabeth River

Good for you Jerry. I've been retired over 7 years and have been enjoying it. Make sure you get a boat that you can load, unload and operate by yourself. You will be surprised at how many friends want you to take them and on the day your ready to go everyone has other plans. Just saying.
