Hi everyone. Just moved to Francestown NH. Grew up fishing for everything and anything in New England but trout is my passion. Have been out of the fishing game for quite some time due constant travel while spending 26 years of active military service. Now that I’m retired, I would very much like to get back to specifically trout fishing. Brookies, Browns, Rainbows, Lakers (Togue) you name it 😃 So…if anyone has any information they could share about where I could find some stellar places to fill my creel around Francestown NH. I would greatly appreciate it! 🙏 Good luck to all of you out there! Keep those lines wet!

Wow!! Great inquiry!! I'm a retired, disabled vet myself. I've recently returned from some volunteer time in Ukraine. I'm a Marine Corps vet myself, with legit service as a marine in Iraq.
I'm done fighting. My 14yo son and I have a camper and we're traveling the states fishing. I'm currently in Plainfield, NH, at my mom's house. Anyone with good info for current areas we can catch trout, and supporting info on what to cast would be awesome!!

Not up to speed on trout in NH. Been fishing the Connettquatte river on long island since I could cast. Haven't been in the north east since I was 13. Looking to make it home. Help please! Where's the fish!?!

UKMarine, have a friend in NY state south of Albany who spends a lot of time in NH, north of Lincoln. I could reach out to him if give me an idea which areas of NH you will be seeking out. If I miss your response, since not always on net, shoot a new one week later. Good luck.

As a fellow veteran I thank you for your service. I am still also fairly new to NH and am trying to figure out the trout in southern NH where I live but I think I got the striped bass figured out in salt water. Best fighting fish I have found here TBH. Let me know if you want to hook up around southern NH to try to figure the trout out. I do have some spots that are supposed to be good just have not figured them out yet here.
