I have been schooled by my wife and niece 2 days now. I'm gonna have to go see Andy for remedial perch fishing lessons, lol. All caught in less than 3' of water. 33 in 2 days, one of my mentors asked for some as well as my folks. M got one today that was just shy of 11.5".

Nice - you’re are not being schooled you are allowing them the victory. That’s what I say anyway.

Nice!
First question: What bait/lures did you use.
Second, Where did you catch them. LOL I don't expect you to tell us your Honey Hole.
One more question for you.
How long did it take to clean them?

They must be spawning UncleRob. Last time I caught a mess of Crappie that’s exactly what they were doing. I don’t know if your Perch do that but that’s what it sounds like.

I fish The Little Choptank river, that's as close as I'll get you. We've been fishing there for 3 years now and if they're not at one place, we move to another, they're always at one of our spots. I use all sorts of lures, Tony Accetta spoons, Roadrunner lures or homemade or Mepps spinners all tipped with a worm, perch ribs or a minnow. On occasion I'll use a Gulp minnow, but not very often. Most of those were caught on a #13 Tony Accetta spoon tipped with a Sheepshead minnow or soft crab, they were REALLY digging the soft crab yesterday and we had some that were getting old so we used them up.

No, they're not spawning, they are a schooling fish so when you find one, you'll get a dozen or so if you don't spook the school. They spawn in the spring and have a mass migration up into freshwater to lay their eggs. Most of those perch have lived in that river their entire lives.

Rob, you can’t go wrong getting advice from Andy. He really knows what he is doing. He is very free with his advice too.

Oh, I listen to Andy The Perch Whisperer. This has been a really odd year for perch fishing. They came into their summer areas late for where we fish and the places that we fished with our kayaks last year are devoid of them.
