Hi everyone. I’m from eastern Ma. Female fisher. My father taught me when I was very young, sort of grew out of it in my teen yrs then life happened. But picked it back up about 8 yrs ago. Absolutely love it. It’s my happy place. Nothing like catching fish in strong current, I like fishing in any body of water but prefer rivers.

Tfw... Welcome to the Stage. Glad ya decided to join us. Your intro is like many others in the loss of interest during your teen years, and thats not surprising. That time of life, school, dating, learning about yourself & where you can fit in socially, maybe a part time job, team sports, music, etc. all work against devoting time to fishing. I'll go out on a limb here and speculate that it's more likely for young ladies to go in those directions than young guys. Don't read anything into this, it was just my observation as a teen myself,long ago , when I was doing all I could to put myself into close proximity to girls. Glad you resumed fishing activities, and Good Luck with that . There are some great ladies here that we admire and value for their contributions, and I'm hoping you will be another one of them.
