Anyone else seen the coho run go this dry this fast on the Duwamish?
Same goes for Marine Area 10 between Edmonds and Shilshoe?
Been running everything I’ve got: kwikfish, Brad’s wigglers, brads super bait original, super bait cut plugs, #3, 4, and 5 vibrax spinners, dick nites, and jigs of every color.
Trolling at depth just at or above marked fish (90% sure anyway…), at anywhere from 2.5 - 4 knots indicated on GPS, varying speed to keep it interesting.
About to try mooching.
😂😐😂
Been fishing the Green/Duwamish for 60 years and have never seen fishing this poor. Marking fish, but nothing attacks them including the old standard mooching. The same goes for the Duwamish/Green River. Very sad. I also see many people fishing areas that are closed. The Green River is closed in many locations until Nov 1 but the fishing continues. This hurts us all along with the strength of the runs. Where are the Fish and Wildlife agents? They aren't at the southern border either.
Most of the river is open until 31 December.
I’m trolling from the southern tip of harbor island to the old 99 bridge, and bank fishing areas in Tukwila I can’t access with my boat.
Both of these show as open until 31 December, limit three; with areas up river of the old 99 bridge allowing retention of chinook.
Sops Creek Hatchery Escapement report last week saw a 1,500 fish increase in coho from previous week.
Wondering if it has to do with lack of new water (lack of rain)?
I’m bobbing eggs, throwing spoons and Vibramax, and twitching jigs to no avail.
