Locals have different names for them according to body of water or region of Texas a little further south they are known as White Bass (around here Sand bass or Sandies.) Techniques for fishing them is different according to their water environment i.e. colder, warmer, deeper, structures etc... Down South one could troll for them up hear seems they bounce jigs off the lake bottom.😀

Thanks for clearing that up Mr P. It's like stripers / rock fish in this area. Same fish and same catch method. Baits different at times but same concept.

For future responses a little fishing stage tip, it would help that when you respond to a post to hit the quote reply section. Sometimes your response will show up after others post and the intended receiver has to back track what you are talking about.

Welcome to the Stage Mr P. Are talking bank fishing or boat fishing? The Sand Bass is a Striped Bass and can be be caught on artificial lures or minnows, depending on the time of year. I’ve caught a few on Crappie jigs, fishing for Crappie. If I were you, I’d ask around at a bait camp or a store that sells tackle. I haven’t fished RC in years. Good luck Sir.
