Nutz, y’all are welcome down here and anywhere else you want to go to fish, or travel to. Texas does have some tough penalties for violating the fishing and hunting rules but mostly because of some of the locals living in the state trying to take advantage of their laws and rules. I’m born and raised in Texas. I’m 77 and been hunting and fishing since I was a kid and have never had any incident with a game warden or land owner.

Hack... That's the kinda Texas welcome I'm talkin' about. One guy having a bad day or attitude doesn't much bother me. My brother is moving there next year to finish out his career in the Houston area, & I'm gonna visit once he gets settled in. He's a Yankee too, but has been a Floridian for about 25 years, so is he really ? I met plenty of righteous Texans when I was in the USMC, and LMAO ( but hadda keep a straight face) as a recruit when the D.I. used that same line as in the movie Full Metal Jacket, about steers and queers. They had a good one for every region, but that one is one of my favorites. Not the sentiment, just that the stuff they come out with is hilarious ! Suppose the other services are much the same, boot camp is hardly a finishing school.
My plan is to spend a couple of months there and spend some time with my bro & his family, and look up some of you guys while I'm there. It feels like I already know y'all, but this would be a nice addition to my travels....
Game Wardens are pretty much like us, hunt and fish, just have the job requirement to do enforcement. Never been a problem for me, and got some great tips & leads from em over the years.
