Better than the skunk Ivan. I use an unweighted Texas rigged Dinger year round, as my go to bait. A lot depends on the water you're fishing, and whether boat or bank. Texas rigged Craws and Creatures work well from the bank. Shallow Crankbaits, Spinnerbaits, and Topwater baits also work well from the bank. Deep running Crankbaits, Jerkbaits, and Chatterbaits work well from a boat.
Good luck and keep at it.

Size doesn't always matter Ivan, a catch is a catch. Thanks for sharing the pics.

A fish is a fish. Good job. I had a lot of luck on a three week trip ending last week. I all but emptied my giant tackle box trying to get a decent fall bass. One of two rigs that broke the jinx, was a 5/16 round ball jig with a 3" Yamamoto stick worm rigged through one end like a Texas rig. I cast to within 1 foot of the bank and bounced it out to 30 feet of water. Most strikes were when the rig was sitting still on the bottom. I had no idea I had a pick up until I lifted the jig to move it deeper. Slow, slow, slow and on the bottom. I was fishing reservoirs of the Columbia River, so the banks were very steep. This was basically a Ned rig with a much cheaper and as effective jig head. I used a greenish brown color, as the water was full of 2 and three inch young smallmouth bass. I also fished successfully the same way with a Keitech impact 3.3 inch paddle tail on the same jig. Many of the hits were on the fall. I tried five or six paddle tails made by other brands with near no success, including the Rage. My bass fishing nearly shut down when I lost the last Keitech. I went through stacks of soft baits including many different types sizes and colors of worms. Nothing worked well until I hit on the stick bait. Warning: Keitecks are very soft and do not last long. They are also quite expensive. The expense difference is minor when compared to the current over all cost of fishing. (when they would not stay on the hook, I bit off the end and re rigged)
For those of you like me, that do not consider trolling a no no in the bass world, we caught a plethora of bass trolling the bottom in 15 to 30 feet of water with Nos. 5 dark perch pattern Flicker Shad at 1.5 MPH. The time of day really did not seem to make a difference fishing deep. I hope this helps your fall fishing, though I do have to say, after a fall week, the weeks we fished, the temp had jumped back up to 80 and the water surface temp. was 67 and 68.

It always amazes me how they will hit one thing one day and not even look at it the next.
