Oregon doesn’t have sales tax on ANYTHING except weed. Being as it’s such a bad place according to some. It’s just fine with me. No sales tax. Actually many jump the borders from other states on a regular basis due to no sales tax and live in other states.

Fair to the point that funds are allocated from the state, for state run animal control facilities that care for abandon animals.

So best if you worked for State of Oregon and Retire. Then they give us a little more to make up for it. If move out of Oregon as retiree you lose some of your pension. Do the math on paying sales tax on every single thing except in prepared food …pet food etc Cars… to higher income taxes. I’m still way ahead. 8$ gas… 25 dollar lunch. I been rolling around in California. I am so grateful to be an Oregonian… I don’t feel disadvantaged whatsoever.

I think it’s great so many dislike Oregon. The less that discover it the better for us long term residents. House I bought for 170 is now worth 450… just fine for everyone to stay away…

Oregon has the highest quality Humane Society in the western US. No sales tax … not even on pet food. Go figure. What state is it that taxes the pet food?

Research Oregon Humane Society. I’m not kidding. Animals come from California… Idaho … Montana… all the states that are so great…. I like the fishing and scenery but they don’t give a dung about abandon animals. Go figure… it’s why they are rescued and sent to Oregon.

Here is a glimpse of what I am talking about. It figures Oregon can have highly respected and great humane society without sales tax but some other state charges sales tax on pet food and sucks for helping animals. Go figure.
