Anglers will get a 12-day sturgeon retention season in the Columbia River estuary, beginning May 10.
They’ll get to keep legal-sized fish — 44 to 50 inches fork length — on Monday, Wednesday and Saturday through June 5. The daily bag limit is one fish. The season limit is two fish.
June 5 is a Free Fishing Day in Oregon, but not Washington.
The open area will be from Buoy 10 at the river’s mouth upriver to power lines crossing the river at Wauna. Youngs Bay and adjacent Washington tributaries are also within the retention area on those days.
