After a week of double and triple shifts, rain, sleep, and watching a storm surge cause 3 ft of flooding in Cape May, i finally managed to get down here to check on things and even got a line wet for a few hours…..didnt get so much a s a nibble in a couple spots i usually do pretty good….but the boat was fine and the weather was perfect, so i cant complain. I have friends in Ft Myers and Cape Coral that would trade places with me in a millisecond.

I’m glad your boat handled the weather without a problem.
Fishing will pick up over time as the water settles down.
I have friends in the Tampa Bay and Englewood area and you’re dead-on. They would gladly trade places with you.
One just got power back yesterday evening and thought they were lucky. Still a lot without power.
Tight Lines.

Yeah, me too Griz….i know the dock floats but wasnt sure it could handle 3 ft above high tide…some of the boats lines snapped but the people who live on thier yachts all summer were there to retie them all…some good people down here.

Nice to have people looking out for you in those cases. I keep thinking about a girl in Florida. Before the storm they interviewed her. Of course like Katrina it's not going to be that bad. We Florida people know how to ride out a storm. Before closing the guy said she was only 2 blocks from the beach. I wonder if she'll still alive n if so is she now saying I really screwed up 👍
