Good catch , I’ll say saw would be happy with that catch from time to time.

Thanks D Tong for posting!!! Great post and pictures!!!! Always fun fishing with my buddy D Tong!

We actually trolled from Cutting Wharf and hooked three shakers before the Brazo Bridge (green bridge down river from Cuttings Wharf) early on but it was very slow after that. Not the greatest tides and not much tidal movement.

All the usually spots were spotty and while we hooked a few shakers trolling and casting when tide was higher, it was very slow. Saw1 always says don't leave fish to find fish but today we needed to find some to play with.
I have been wanting to fish this other slough which has been productive. Not Saw1 productive but pretty decent and we marked a lot of bigger fish. And that is what D Tong was talking about. It was productive and pretty fun!!! If we decided to stay longer, I think we could have pulled a few bigger fish out but fishing is fishing & catching is catching....It is what it is but .....next time!!!! LOL!

Nook and I are going back out to the Napa River next Tuesday and hopefully we will find a few more and bigger Striped Bass who want to play.

I also also just wanted to say thank you to 40Grit and D Tong. 40Grit gave me an Alaskan Silver Salmon fillet that was absolutely so fresh and delicious!!! And D Tong sent me home with a slab ( I mean a slab!!!) of his homemade meat loaf made with the addition of his homemade sausage. It was the absolute bomb!!!! My lady is gone for 12 days and I must say I have been eating very well!!! Thank you so much guys, it is so appreciated !!!

Great post D! Sounds like a repeat of our day. I think I may know the place he took you, we had good luck there as well and there were more keepers.

Ben is pretty fun to go fishing with, isn't he?
And the slab of salmon didn't last long at our house. Thanks again for sharing. Very kind, very much appreciated.
