Was able to get out on Huron for a few hours yesterday…figured I should since weather changing today and rest of week at least. High yesterday 74°, high tomorrow 49°.
Was able to land 14 smallies, biggest was 4.65lbs per digital hand held and 20” long.

4.65lbs and 20”

Thanks OJ, Grizzly…was a perfect day on the water…trolled for walleyes for 2 hours with no luck, and the switched over to casting some rock piles…game on!

Awesome Smalljaw Outcast. They must be pigging out on the Gobies. Thanks for the pictures.

Thanks Fred! I tried a jig with an imitation goby body with a paddle tail first, and there were no takers. Tied on a Rapala DT6 and started to hit them.. as fast as I could crank, they were banging it. I was surprised to find the water temp still at 61°…

The Smallie fishing in the Great Lakes, and St Clair are definitely on my bucket list. Glad you selected the right alternative, it definitely paid off.

Nice going outcast! I know what you mean about trying to squeeze in some quality fishing before the raunchy weather starts to become the norm around these parts! Terrific catching on the bass...and hopefully the walleye will find your lures next time out as they bulk up for the long cold Winter season ahead!

Thanks all! Was a blast. Weather moderating somewhat next week, going to give it another try!
