I thought the same. Despite what article says. These guys are going to face so real punishment. The Ohio ODNR has put the hammer to other cheaters. Won’t probably see jail time but they should loose a considerable amount of money and gear!

They deserve everything they get. Ban them from any future tournaments, etc. The public does not need any more “ammunition” which tarnishes the reputations of our fellow fishermen.

This act is not fishing it was there way of living. Fishing is suppose to be for fun or sorce of food not money or prizes. Hope it is a large book they throw at them and it hits them really hard for a long time.

Jason I've been reading about it. Others would donate their catch. These two never did. I'm sure you already heard they add 8 lb of lead between 4 fish. Why did it take so long when they've been suspected for quite awhile 👍

I’m really not sure why it took so long. I’m assuming their other cheating was less obvious?? They won a lot of money in small tournaments. County prosecutor said he’s putting a case together yesterday.🤞🏻

All sponsors should revoke any and all deals with these guys . Ranger should take back boat , fraud is a crime or it used to be prewokeism . Sponsors blackball these guys a tournament rules should have a clause with a permanent ban (with physical evidence ) from all events. Pro fishing not mantanable with sponsor ban . JBHersch

See my above post about a fisherman named Big Mike Long makes these guys look like cheating amateurs 🎣😎👍

thanks for sharing the article. a lifetime revocation of all hunting/fishing privileges(nationwide) seems appropriate for those two.

What I have a hard time understanding is someone cheating in fishing tournaments or deer hunting, is how can they be proud of themselves. Cheating is lying and stealing. From what I’ve read, these two jerk wads are going to get slapped on the hand, pay a fine, and be barred from anymore tournaments in Ohio. Well I can’t stand a liar, a cheater, and people like those two scumbags. I’ve had stuff stolen from me while in Vietnam, Fort Campbell, Fort Bragg, and Fort Polk. It was stuff I bought, paid for it with my money and trusted my “ buddies”, never giving a thought it would be stolen.
Well that’s like those two cheaters. They had friends they met during the tournament and they tried stealing from them and all the rest of the anglers in the tournament. I know they’ll eventually get what’s coming to them but I hope it’s sooner than later.
Pardon my rant. These things get me fired up.
