Small fishing boat help?

I am looking for a small boat (8ft-10ft) that i could throw in my pickup truck and also take out and store in my apartment. I am looking to start fishing some lakes near me but I do not have accessibility to close trailer storage due to living in a city. I have looked into Jon boats and baby bass boats but I just cant decide. I would only throw a trolling motor on for fishing. Can I hear your thoughts? I haven't read anything on storing a small boat in an apartment. And if someone could provide me some good small boats that would be great. Thanks.

the aluminium foldable boat by instaboat is what you are looking for, my grandparents used it for a decade, its light, compact, for 2 person, can put a motor.

There are inflatable pontoons that work really well. I trolling motor can be mounted. Kayaks are great as well

I got a saltwater dinghy that I use with a small trolling motor. I got it from my local harbor masters office where it had been abandoned. It’s worth calling and checking if they have anything that they are trying to get rid of.

100% go with a Gheenoe.

Versatile, strong enough to hold engines or trolling motors.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jon_boat : mid screen, right side, 10ft jon boat in an 8 ft pickup bed.

Slightly more advanced than an aluminum box, alumninum jon boats are excellent for shallow water work (hunting / fishing). A friend swears by his 10 ft 18 gauge boat b/c it weighs less than 60 lbs.

edit : better pic of the above : https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jon_boat#/media/File:A_small_jon_boat_(johnboat)_in_a_red_pickup_truck.jpg

You might consider a kayak or a canoe.

I could probably be a spokesperson for the sea Eagle 285fpb. 9', motor mount,stand-able floor, pedestal seat, decent oar set-up.....fits in a car trunk or in my case, all my camping gear, fishing gear, and this boat w/ 30lb Minnkota & battery & charger plus cooler.....in the back of my Forester. Not cheap but worth the $800+, if only for it's compact size. Made much like the best river rafts in the aspect of quality materials. The assembly time is maybe 15-20 min.....max. I have yet to do so, but I could put my 3hp Honda on it according to the manufacturer. Not enough interior room for two, unless you're tiny, although weight capacity is fine. Probably could take your dog, if you're in to that and if you maybe added a rug . I was never sure whether inflatable boats and fish hooks should cross paths, but now I am convinced it's okay if common sense and awareness prevail. Sea Eagle makes several styles for fishing that can accommodate more people, check them out. The storage thing is and will always be a big deal with boat owners, no matter the vessel size. Good luck, stay safe on the water !

Look up Sun Dolphin Fishing Boats made in MI! Little stable pond boats in 8' or 10' lengths. Gheenoe`s are rather stable boats that I`ve fished out of and wore cars roof top out from salt water runoff.
