When can we expect the steelhead and salmon to show up in the Molalla River? What are or will they be biting on? Thanks.

The lower reaches of the river would probably be best to fish right now, between the Willamette and Canby if you know where to fish or are able to find a place to get to the water that isn't private property. The water is too low until we get good a rain. I am not sure that there is a run of Chinook or Coho on the Molalla.

Thanks for the input Florida, but the question was for the other side of the country ! Well over 2000 miles from Molalla in Oregon to Lake Ontario. Quite certain that what's happening in the east will not ever apply to our river runs.... whole different ballgame out here.

Sorry, BD, but the ODFW has no report for the Molalla, so maybe the best bet is to contact a tackle shop in Canby.
Hopefully some rain will arrive at some point in time, that would help EVERYTHING.... fish, people, crops, forests.
