Hi y’all. As this title says, the skill to catch fish eludes me! After more than 40 years of trying, I just refuse to give up! If I had to live on what I catch, needless to say, I’d be deader than a mackerel. By the way, I’ve heard that all my life, but what kills a mackerel?

What are you fishing for, what kind of water, where, and when? There are plenty of knowledgeable people on this forum who can help you. You tube, google, and other sights can be helpful also.

40 years? How often do you fish? I can't imagine you are fishing that often if in 40 yrs you have never caught a fish!! Even a blind squirrel finds a nut occasionally!

That's a great question sure don't know the answer.
I have been bass fishing for many years also my biggest was a 12.5 caught in del Rio Texas. On a crank baits.
