I only fish the Fall Brawl. It runs from Oct15 till the end of November and it’s a big fish competition. I put in my $40 and if I happen to catch one over 10lbs during that time I’ll get it weighed and entered. Winner gets a sweet boat!!! I love my 14fter but I’d take a more big water worthy vessel! Thanks for the well wishes!

Cheater dude (Runyan) won last year with a 12.66 but didn’t get the prize because he failed the lie detector. 2nd place got it.👍🏻

Send that 14 footer to me J, I'll put it to good use in the small lakes :) good luck brother, I'd love to see you win!

I hope your right Ken. I know tournament fishermen work hard to compete and it's their profession to bring home to their families. Here in Vermont, the game wardens will take EVERYTHING ,gun, poles, vehicles, etc.if your caught breaking wildlife rules! They don't mess around!!!!

With a big prize like a boat at stake, I would think it would qualify as Grand Larceny, or whatever Ohio's equivalent is. It should be good for a couple years behind bars anyway.

Fred, I don't know anything about the law where this took place, but down here there have been a few cases where they caught someone cheating... The tournament director would present the prize to them and after they accepted it they were arrested for theft by deception... From what I understand, they have to accept the money/prize, before charges can be brought.... Like I said, this is my understanding of what has taken place around here..

That makes sense Doc. If you arrest them before hand, then it's probably only conspiracy to commit larceny, which would have a much lighter sentence. Either way, throw the book at them and ban them for life.

More videos are surfacing about this, apparently these two douche bags were caught before,in a larger scale Bass Tournament, they caught them cheating but didn’t want to tarnish the Bass name or the current tournament so it was brushed under the rug and nobody was any wiser, last year these two won $300,000 in prize money, and the pair have won a total of $3million thus far career wise, both guys are POS and should’ve never made it through the parking lot to their trucks, carma is a bitch

This is a wake up call to all fishing tournament officials. As the old saying goes " if it looks like a skunk, smells like a skunk, it's probably a skunk". During the days I officiated we actually went out on the water to watch our fishermen just to keep them honest.

Hack thank you for serving!! I just missed going to Nam in 1972 it was time to come home! My ex brother-in-law was on a gunboat and a lot of my friends came back wounded. God bless you brother and hope fishing and friends help you through.
