Who can guess what time I caught this fish? The Chinese takeout lady didn’t know. Lol 😂. Caught an 8.5 lb common carp with ShopRite canned whole kernel corn on a #4 long shank gold hook and 12 lb test line in 64 degree Colonial Lake this evening. Gave it to Rana and his brother from Pakistan for halal dinner tonight. Landed 59 carp this year. Also caught and released 9 bluegills and 7 golden shiners a day before Hurricane Ian.

Great catch! Glad it went to good cause. By the way, is that a classic Garcia Mitchell 300 reel I see in the low right? Wish I still had mine.

Yes, 4 7-8.5 lb carp and 3 NJ Skillful Angler Recognition Award brown bullheads in 6 trips. Intruders were there 3 times though. Water temp got too cold already. I may catch nothing today.

When it breaks I’m not fixing it.

My Mitchell 300 is of a 1975 vintage, and it looks pretty beat up, but still works. Yours looks brand new. Congratulations.

Tie a #4 long shank gold hook to the end of my 12 lb test fluorocarbon line with an 8 twist improved clinch knot then totally cover the hook with canned whole kernel corn.
