Don't know Jeff, since the storm I haven't been out on the bay to look around. Are you talking about torn up docks and piers?

Rule of thumb Jeff stay out of the water for a good week. Torn up docks, submerged washed out items from yards and maybe a body or two could be waiting to get hit.

The image below is just one area of the sea-port at Port Fourchon. Hurricane Ida did this. Still cleaning up. What you don’t see, is in the water. Side scan sonar was performed on the canals and bayou. That’s where it all is.

Jeff the recommendations here in Charlotte harbor are at least 2 weeks.
With a cautious eye for changes in the marked channels and new or expanding sandbars.
We have rivers coming out of flood stage.
That debris source will will continue for another few days.
I'm going to venture out next week to to start learning the new bottom.
Not very far but definitely slow and cautious.
There are a couple of spots close.
