Hello folks I am new to saltwater fishing in fact I haven’t touched a fishing pole in many many years. I don’t care to go freshwater fishing just salt water. Where and when are good places to go fishing around Narragansett or nearby?

Good morning, Paul, check to see if they have a local fishing forum and join. If they are any good you will learn a lot. They have some good ones and some bad ones. You might also want to check at the local bait shop, if they have one.

Sorry Paul,I don't have any knowledge about the Narragansett area. My only experience with RI shore fishing is at the Breechways along the southwest coast. Maybe Joecat, or other RI members can help you.

Anywhere in Narragansett is hot right now. Stripers, blues and albies are still here. I’ve only fish first light till mid morning and have done well. Bring the right gear for what your fishing for.
