Took a break from lake fishing this past weekend to try my hand at fly fishing for trout.

Arrived to temperatures in western PA Thursday, late afternoon, struggling to hold 50 with a brisk cold wind out of NW.

Overnight, I witnessed a little popcorn snow.

Set out on a creek a little after sunrise on Friday looking for trout. Caught this one after seeing plenty who told me it was too cold to eat!

My guide had a funky home made tied fly made out of shammy cloth. It looked like a worm or nymph.
