Caught 2 fish early both on the 1 and a half pound range in the submerged trees on the south west corner near the bubbler. Lost 2 on the rockpiles on the east end..im assuming on the smaller side. Once the heat kicked up around noon... fishing came to a halt.. But over all a beautiful day... but the woes of this summer heat still making it a grind for all of so cals lakes!.. Peace and tite-lines..Skonka

Hey Dinger .... Fishing has been a bit hit and miss ... Some fish in 15-20', but there are fish sha!low along south shore when u find bait -- silversides and shad .... U may have to go through a lot of dinks , but bigger fish are there .... Try top water and swimbaits .... Saw others do well by snagging shad and using them for bait .... Haven't ventured way back in east end, but lots of boats there, so could be fish there .... good luck, and let us know how u do....

I did get pretty shallow by boat, and I did see big fish swimming in about 12 - 15 ft.I anchored a cast away from the shore! But the fish just didn't seem to want to bite. I tried... SWIMBAITS, DEPZ COVER SCAT, DEPZ BULL FLAT, DROPSHOT ROBO WORMS VARIOUS COLORS, NED RIG, FLUKES, MICRO CRANK BAITS, WEIGHTED NEKO RIG , FAT FLIES, .. ONLY THING THAT WORKED WAS THE GOOD OLE YAMAMOTO SENKO GREEN PUMPKIN BLK FLK... BUT THANKS MAN ..Dinger SKONKA

Have you tried the jerkbait
I was their on the second of September and caught a few in 20ft to 16ft of water. But it was slow and we finally tried for Bluegills and only caught a few nice ones.
Have a good week.

I didn't try any jerkbaits, spinner baits or buzzbaits this time..Maybe I should have!.. Perris lake changes day to day.
