Hello, fished all my life, BUT just getting started in saltwater at OBX. Like the pompano and speckled trout!

Casr for the pumps just outside the breaker line. Shrimp works as does mole crab which you an dig in the wash. You'll also get whiting in the same area. Red drum will be available too fish them with finger mullet or chunks.

Two of my favorite species as well! Done best with pompano with sand fleas and/or shrimp and with specks with mud minnows.
