Brother coming to area next week and wanted I do on the lake. We're both excited about fishing there
I entered my post in the middle of the night and after reading it this morning, it didn't make a whole lot of sense, apologies. What I wanted to say is that my brother is coming in from Okla and wants for the two of us to do some bluegill fishing on Lamar Lake. I was looking for any help on what areas of the lake are best for this as well as any tips someone might share. Thanks

Hey South! We moved from Lamar last year and I was a regular at Lamar Lake. Spent lots of time there. Good luck!

Mornin Southpaw. There are 2 coves on the lake. Both are decent depending on weather. As you leave the ramp, if you head right, there's a cut in the bank that holds fish, then the point of the little island after the cut has a spot out in front of it. I caught 90% of my fish working the dam. Back and forth, it always produced. Pay attention to the signs around the water intake system. They're fussy about folks fishin too close to it. Be sure to cast near the cable boundary, tho. Good luck!!
