I haven't even checked to see if it is open to fish for them this year but water levels are pretty low so I would suspect we would need a good rain fall to bring them up the river since they prefer to swim not walk up the river

Salmon are not listed in the 2022-2023 fishing regulations on the Snohomish, so it is my understanding there is currently no salmon season on the Snohomish for any salmon species.

You can check the emergency regs in the event they open the fishery here:

https://wdfw.wa.gov/fishing/regulations/emergency-rules

In the Fish WA App, there is no listing for salmon on the Snohomish.

The Snohomish may or may not be opened at some point for Salmon. If it does open, the emergency rules is where it will show up.
Most people skip the Snohomish and head up towards Monroe/Sultan to fish the Skykomish instead....it's just more pleasant then trying to fish the snoho.

On the Stilly twice in the past week. Lots of spent salmon where I was. Caught my record 16 1/2” beautiful cutthroat.
Salmon are not listed for the Stilly so I would assume they fall under the “Other Game Fish” category.

Salmon do not fall under the “Other Game Fish” category; Salmon are categorized as food fish.

Unless the regulation specifically lists SALMON (the reg uses all caps) for the water you are fishing, there is no salmon season / fishery on those waters.

Nice work on the cutthroat.

Checked the regs again. 22-23 regs specifically list Coho, limit 2, on the Stilly from September 1 to November 15.

Just to clarify…the app does mention Coho open “mouth to forks”. The written regs clearly do list Coho specifically and there are no current restrictions for Coho on the Stilly. That said, many sections of the upper river are selective gear rules and not open to salmon.
