Waiting for the water temperature to cool down. Record heat earlier this week, but in the 60's today. Crappie are still down deep, but big bluegills are getting ornery. Good luck to all. Bruce

Hello bhass53 and welcome. How is the fishing at Concordia Lake? It’s a nice size lake and looks “fishy”. Thought about giving it a try soon. Do you fish it much?

If you have a boat and can get back into the areas that are only accessible by boat, then there are crappie to be had. Personally, I haven't caught anything from the bank or off the dam in many years. I just stick to farm ponds and ones with easy access.

I can see what you are saying. One side is almost all open and the other is heavy cover on bank. I have driven around it a couple times this summer and didn’t see anybody there. Are there good size crappie in there are a lot of dinks? I used to hear reports about fishing there but silence is all lately but I’m sure that’s not the case.
